We believe, with all our hearts and soul: this may be a pivotal year regarding the future of America. It may be the year your children and grandchildren look back upon and say, “Why didn’t my father/grandfather, my forbearers, do more to save what the forefathers did so much, gave so much, to build?”
Are you going to be one of those who, at the end of November, 2012, say, “The country is doomed. Why didn’t I do more?”
We MUST STOP this downward spiral, this blind spending, this believing that our politicians are smarter than the average housewife who knows she can’t spend more than her family’s income—obviously they’re not so smart. We MUST STOP it now, and the first step is to vote the professional politicians out. And to vote in congressmen and senators who understand simple math, who understand simplistic budgeting, and more importantly, have the fortitude to implement common sense.
If your congressmen and senators did not stand strong against those who continue to push crushing debt down the throats of America, then work, contribute, pound the pavement, to get them out of office. If they haven’t risen up and said congress should have no better retirement, no better salaries, no better health care, than the rest of the citizens of this country, then work to get them out of office, for that’s an attitude that’s endemic of the problem infecting Washington D.C. When did you vote to anoint your government with the perfume of royalty? Well, it stinks, and it’s time to drop those congressmen, senators, and, yes, the administration in the mud, to jerk them away from the trough. Pigs no more. Self-serving no more. And we all must toughen up and take the brunt of some hits to our lifestyle, to our standard of living, if we are to become part of the solution rather than part of the problem. After all, the country got where it is under our watch. We all must stop this “let the other guy take the hit,” attitude. That’s not the American way.
It’s time we knocked the crowns off those who’ve become the aristocracy of America…that wasn’t the plan of the forefathers, who’s original brilliant document, the Constitution of the United States of America, created the most prosperous country, the strongest country, the world has ever seen. We WERE the light that led the way the world wanted to follow. Let’s you and I work, this year, THIS YEAR, every minute, every hour, every day we can afford, to return America to what Ronald Reagan described as the “the shining city on the hill.” The country every other desired to become. And he said, and we should fight, give, work to protect this reality: “We are indeed, and we are today, the last best hope of man on earth.”
It’s time, right now’s the time. 2012 may be the last chance for WE THE PEOPLE to bring America back to the last best hope of man on earth.
