Why vote? Because your legislators have been anti-American! That’s why.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but in the last two years we’re a mere five trillion dollars more in debt that we were before that time…and that said, Congress wasn’t doing a hell of a good job before that time. In fact, they were doing a piss poor job. The debt was crushing, the philosophy obscene, the attitude of congress was, if not still is, aristocratic and, if I may be so bold, anti-American. Placing $40,000 or so in debt on your newborn son, daughter, or grandson and grandaughter, is not only un-American, it’s anti-American.
Slap them on the butt, doc, make them cry and clear that phlegm out of their throat and lungs, then hand them a bill for forty grand. Welcome to America.
That’s not the opportunity I was promised, nor do I want to promise those who follow. Let’s put some pride back into the American way!
The consideration of each vote by most of your congressmen and women was first what will it do for me, not what will it do to the country.
You can’t set out on a path to destroy something, even if it’s merely in your ignorance, and act as if you’re “for it.” No, you’re obviously, anti. And adding, adding, adding debt to your country, and onto the back of every American, is anti-American, is uber-destructive—strong words, but its time for strong words, and strong action.
And passing one single bill, or a thousand bills, if its you as an individual or your congress, that will not allow a budget to be balanced, is setting out to destroy your personal finances, your business, your city, your country, your state, and your nation. It’s setting out to destroy your children and your grandchildren, and that’s sure as hell is not my way, and I’m going to do my best to see it’s not my country’s way.
So Congress, since the last balanced budget, you’ve been anti-American.
It’s time for a change! It’s time to TTBO, to throw the bums out.
And it’s been your fault and mine that it’s gone this far. We’ve been negligent. Yeah, I know, I’ve been busy watching out for myself and my family, trying to make a living, trying to stay under the radar and just go about my business. No more.
No more. No more will I see one single bill brought before my congress…and it is mine, and yours…and will I keep quiet. Every bill that puts us deeper in debt, every new government job that takes more out of the private sector, is another nail in the coffin. If I see one vote, and I will watch each vote of congress as diligently as I watch my own checkbook, I will rise up and shout out and demand common sense and fiscal responsibility from my legislator. It’s time to RAISE HELL, and your vote is the American way to do so, even when you’d like to storm the castle and stomp some common sense into the royals. It’s time to stop pussy-footing around, it’s time to say it like it is.
It’s time every one of us good ol’ country boys and girls started paying attention to what is being done…not for us, but to us…in congress. And it’s time we figuratively if not literally picked up our pitchforks and stormed the ramparts if they continue to act like spoiled aristocrats.
It’s my checkbook, and yours, that congress has treated like Charmin for their spoiled butts, and I’m not going to stand for it any more. I hope you feel the same way.
VOTE.
