JewJews…what are you thinking?

I have lots of Jewish friends (you can’t be in jounalism, publishing and entertainment without encountering lots), and because of my politics most of them who I call friends are conservative, but I’m totally amazed that Jews, the majority, continue to be liberal.  How can a Jew be anti-gun?  I once had a debate with a Jewish doctor, obviously an intelligent man, who was highly insulted to think we had guns in our house…yet I’m sure, as he was my age or older, that he had relatives who were survivors of the holocaust, whom could relate how Hitler banned all private firearms before inviting Jews to give up their property and eventually their lives.  The good doctor rambled on for thirty minutes (in front of his wife and two daughters in a mutual friend’s dining room) about the evils of guns without letting me have a word, short of my putting my fist down his throat, until I concluded that argument quickly with “So, you’d be one of those Jews who climbed willingly into the cattle car?”  His own daughter who’d been listening to the exchange said, “Yeah, dad!” And his other daughter and his wife gave him condemning glares.

How can a Jew, if he or she is a real Jew, vote for a president who’d embrace Palestine?  Who’d embrace those who only want a “country,” yes, but to embrace those who continue to call for the utter destruction of Israel???  Why not just hand them an AK47 and place the muzzle in your mouth?  And those, by the way, are the same people, who only want a “country,” but who call for the extermination of all Jews as if they were cockroaches.  I would think the latter (kill all Jews) would more than offset the former (I want a country), and I would think that this, if nothing else, would seal the fate of the Jewish vote (and substantial monetary support) in the coming elections.

As smart as I think Jews are as a group, I think many of them must have a genetic switch that fails to close when it comes to liberalism as a political mantra, as opposed to a way of life.  Sometimes I wonder if self-destruction is in their DNA.  Yes, love and support and nurture your fellow man and their desire for freedom and independence….  But to again climb in the cattle car while doing so?

Wake up, Jews of America.

This from visiontoamerica.com:

In response to President Obama’s announcement that he supports Palestinian demands to redraw the Israeli borders to the pre-1967 parameters, Representative Allen West (R-Fla., pictured) declared that Obama’s endorsement of that policy “could be the beginning of the end as we know it for the Jewish state.”

West labeled Obama’s support of the pre-1967 borders the “most egregious foreign policy decision,” explaining:

The pre-1967 borders endorsed by President Obama would deny millions of the world’s Jews access to their holiest site and force Israel to return the strategically important Golan Heights to Syria, a known state-sponsor of terrorism.

Resorting to the pre-1967 borders would mean a full withdrawal by the Israelis from the West Bank and the Jewish neighborhoods of East Jerusalem. Make no mistake, there has always been a Nation of Israel and Jerusalem has been and must always be recognized as its rightful capital.

President Obama has not stood for Israel of the Jewish people and has made it clear where the United States will stand when Palestine attempts to gain recognition of statehood by the United Nations. The President should focus on the real obstacle to security — the Palestinian leadership and its ultimate goal to eliminate Israel and the Jewish people.
