Teamsters’ President Jimmy Hoffa and President Barack Obama stood together in Michigan on Monday to declare war on the Tea Party and every freedom-loving American who believes our government spends too much.

“We’ve got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers,” Hoffa said. “And you see it everywhere, it is the tea party… President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let’s take these son of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong.”

This statement is important because it shows us exactly what we’re up against in the next election. The president and his liberal allies are determined to win this fight and they plan to repeat the political strategy they used in the 2010 midterm elections, which is based on demonizing their opponents.

The truth is Tea Party supporters are not the only ones who disapprove of the president. Recent polls show that three out of four Americans believe the country is on the wrong track. President Obama’s problem isn’t the Tea Party — it’s his record. He can’t run on it so he has to drag everyone else down with him.

Unfortunately, the president’s slash and burn political strategy isn’t the only thing he is repeating. He also plans to give another speech tonight calling on Congress to pass even more of his failed economic policies. Watch “America Needs Jobs, Not More Speeches”

I’m happy to support any idea that permanently reduces the role of the federal government in our economy, but I’m not going to entertain more of the president’s so-called “shovel ready” stimulus programs. These policies don’t work and they should be rejected.

A genuine plan to boost the economy would look a lot like the 12-step growth agenda outlined by Ted Cruz, candidate for U.S. Senate in Texas. It calls for repealing ObamaCare, reforming the tax code, rolling back job-killing federal regulations, and passing a Balanced Budget Amendment. Read Ted Cruz’s “Growth and Jobs Agenda”

I know how the American economy works because I’ve worked in the private sector and run my own business. The American economy is driven by risk and reward — people take risks because there’s the possibility of reward. But this president does not understand this basic concept and continues to increase the risk and reduce the reward of American enterprise.

The good news is that we have our own army of freedom-loving Americans who won’t sit back and watch their country be destroyed. We’re going to contribute our time, our money, and our votes to elect true conservative leaders like Ted Cruz in Texas and Josh Mandel in Ohio who will fight to restore America’s greatness.

Thank you for your support. Please continue to encourage your family and friends to join the Senate Conservatives Fund so we have the manpower and the resources to take our country back.
